On a cold and wet night over 50% of the SGA membership turned out to see Margaret Micklewright’s demonstration of her painting technique using the medium of coloured inks.  With traditional writing inks, natural inks and acrylic inks, Margaret showed how she achieves beautiful and dramatic landscapes. Painting on watercolour paper and with the help of water and bleach, the ink flowed into wonderful shapes and shadows.  Margaret made it look easy (we weren’t convinced!) and many members were inspired to want to try it at home and were given a list of the various materials.   It is hoped to arrange a workshop with Margaret in the near future.  You can see more of her work on her website – https://margaretmicklewright.com
