By kind invitation from Mr Copeland, we have been invited again to visit this lovely garden. Meet for
lunch or coffee at 12.00 in The Buttercross Tearooms, Somerton Square and wander down at leisure
to this little gem.

14 June        Kaye Parmenter    – Watercolour – A Splash of Watercolour

23 June        Ham Hill, Stoke Sub Hamdon, TA14 6RW    – Meet for lunch at 12.00 in the Prince of Wales or 1pm for painting. Fantastic views in all directions – Somerset laid out before you or the fascinating contours and stones of this old quary.

5 July          Coates Willow Centre, Meare Green, Stoke St Gregory, TA3 6HY. – Meet 12.00 for lunch in the café or 1pm for painting. There is a guided tour and entry to the museum for a small admission fee for anyone interested or just enjoy the courtyard surroundings or the nature trail for your artwork. Lots of possibilities!

22 July          Somerton Parish Rooms TA11 7NB – Painting Together in the hall or outside with a morning workshop for those wishing to participate with Mandy McAllen.

26 July         Plotgate Community Farm, Off Mill Road, Barton St David, TA11 6DF – Meet. 2pm. By popular demand, we are going to revisit this fantastic location and a big thank you once again to everyone at Plotgate for accommodating us. Vegetable fields, implements, views, assorted livestock! We will take cake and tea! Not to be missed , something for everyone here. Parking and compostable loo on site. From main road in Barton turn down Mill road, carry on down
until a sharp right bend where you keep straight on (not around corner) until you are on a track
which turns right into Plotgate.

11 August         Langport All Saints Church, The Hill, Langport, TA10 9QF – Meet 1pm. Interesting gargoyles known locally as ‘hunky punks’; medieval windows and stained glass; beautiful views across to Muchelney Abbey from the churchyard. The church is now in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust and we will make a donation to funds. Alternatively within a few minutes walk a lovely street scene looking down ‘The Hill’ to the town or the Hanging Chapel in the other direction, a pointed barrel vault archway built at the East Gate of the defended town. Followed by Bow Wharf Café, Bow Street, TA10 9PN (parking other side of road over bridge) for coffee at 4.

23 August          Lytes Cary Manor, Near Somerton, TA11 7HU – What a fantastic National Trust house and beautiful garden to visit. For those without membership
no need to worry, access to the garden only available, just say SGA on entry and we have agreed
entry by donation from ourselves and a big thank you to the National Trust, Meet 12.00 at the
tearoom for lunch or tea.
