At our March evening meeting, member Kevin Pickles gave a most interesting talk about his work as a professional freelance comic book artist. He explained the process from script to finished page, showing sketches, notes and original artwork. All are hand drawn with pens and pencils and are all in black and white. 

Kevin answered many of the questions from members that were asked about the paper, tools and techniques he uses. 

We also learned that comic books have their own language, and the planning of a page of drawings to tell a story, requires skills to match that of Kevin’s drawing.

A most enjoyable evening!
