Eleven newcomers to Acrylic, have been exploring the joys of the medium in 6 sessions this  summer.

They experimented with different ways of applying paint. In broad expressive strokes, tiny impressionist marks, using found materials like cut orange nets credit cards, and bubble wrap, stencilling, and stamping in abstract designs, and finally using large brushes for soft edges and blended colours.

Often way out of their comfort zone, from the small selection of paintings shown, you can see how they expressed themselves as individuals whilst making a radical switch from more familiar mediums.
