Wick Farm Painting day Review

We were treated to marvellous hospitality from Wick Farm owner, Penny Horne.
Penny provided us with our own little camp settlement along with outdoor kitchen, Shepherds hut and colour maps.
From here we sketched and explored the many acres of grounds from here. Around the farm house we discovered an eclectic mix of artwork produced by visiting artists throughout the years. We include some examples for you to see. Photographs are by Michaela Baker, our guest photographer for the day.
There were ten in our party.
Here is what some members said about their retreat day at Wick:

“A wonderful, quirky setting, with good company and great sketching subjects”

” I had a thoroughly enjoyable day of painting and exploring. What a magical place to create art”

“This was my first experience of painting outside. The weather was perfect and the gardens at Wick farm were full of charming features. As a novice, however, I went exploring and found a quiet spot on a hillside and simply attempted to paint the sky and a tree.Really enjoyed this new experience.”

We have many more photos to share of this attractive and intriguing location. Please re- visit soon when they will all have been  uploaded.
