Autumn Life Drawing

A half day workshop at LONG LOAD VILLAGE HALL  on SAT 9TH NOVEMBER.

Judy Bugden and Jackie Sherlock (both SGA Members) have kindly agreed to share their knowledge and experience during the workshop, by giving out helpful hints and tips on an informal and relaxed basis and are happy to provide help if needed.  
 
We have asked a female model to sit for us (fully clothes) for 10 and 20 minute poses.
 
ART MATERIALS TO BRING WITH YOU:
A3 sketching pad (the Works do and ideal pad for about £4.00).  We also have had a generous donation of 4 x A3 art cartridge pad which will be available on the day.
A3 board to lean on
2B/4B pencils
Eraser/putty rubber
Coloured pencils, pens, charcoal or pastels can also be used but please bring your own appropriate paper if being used
PS:  There won’t be room for easels as chairs will be arranged in a semi-circle around the model.
 
DATE: Saturday, 9th November 2024 at Long Load Village Hall
TIME: 9.30am – 12 noon with a break.  Tea/Coffee/Biscuits will be provided.

Charcoal drawing workshop with Kate Lynch

We are very pleased to be able to invite Somerset artist Kate Lynch to run a
workshop for us, demonstrating her sensitive and playful use of charcoal techniques,
using collaborative exercises, creating landscapes and encouraging the use of
expression and creativity.
Many of you will be familiar with her work as she has given an evening
demonstration in the past, showing her artwork in the celebration of rural work and
traditions in Somerset.
Art Materials to bring to the Workshop:
Cartridge paper (A4 /A3 size), small piece of cotton rag, hair spray, Eraser,
newspaper or towel to cover the table
Art Materials provided by Kate Lynch
Charcoal, Some paper to work on
