Glastonbury Mural Trail

Thursday 15th May marked the beginning of our outdoor activities.

Six of us had a jaunt around Glastonbury on the mural trail on a lovely sunny morning followed by tea and cake in the Blue Note courtyard.

We encountered a wide variety of artwork: graffiti; pastoral scenes; the spiritual; profound; weird and wonderful; on shop walls; in pub gardens; the town hall and bus stop from well known artists such as Stik and from artists from the community. Some we loved and others not so much but all giving us lots to think about.

We finished at the Heart of the Tribe gallery where we saw some very interesting art, were given a very warm welcome and  were treated to some local singing in the garden – Glastonbury really offers a wealth for the senses.

Thanks to Kate Holland.
