Inspired by nature and using natural materials foraged from the countryside, Jackie demonstrated her way of making collagraph prints from a sandwich of sticky backed foil, plant materials and a sheet of clear cel. From an unwieldy looking block, which she then ran through her die cutter, along with inked sheets and printing paper, came a series of magical embossed prints with an incredible degree of detail and intricacy. Later she showed us a simpler method which could be achieved without the print machine, to make “pebbles”.
