At our last meeting, Owen Williams, who is an Illustrator. Storyboard Artist, Concept Visualiser, Cartoonist and Graphic Designer, treated us to a fascinating evening on ‘Painting the Negative Space’. Starting with a red background and then using a limited palette and two brushes he first laid in the foreground, middle and background before ‘cutting’ in with the finer details. Working up the board we could see the landscape of trees, fields, hedgerows and sky gradually coming to life!

A very positive evening with Owen passing on lots of helpful tips. We hope we can get Owen to make a return visit to the group and also to run a workshop.
